You might find yourself so busy in Boston that you are tempted to avoid the surrounding area. That would be a shame. For a look inside a 15th-century Venetian-styled palace, visit the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum. If history is your passion, you are definitely in the right spot! The Freedom Trail leads visitors on a sixteen-stop tour of the city. The tour will take you by The Boston Common and the Old North Church. No baseball fan should miss a trip to Fenway Park to watch the Boston Red Sox.
The Time is Right
A lot of people consider spring the best season to visit Boston. The temperatures are mild and the summer crowds haven’t arrived. Late fall is another wonderful time to explore Boston. The foliage is beautiful and the summer season has ended, giving guests more room to wander. Although many consider Boston a year-round destination some times should be avoided if possible. The high humidity levels make July and August uncomfortable for many visitors. The beach areas are crowded from May to August, particularly on weekends.

We haven’t even mentioned the important academic institutions that are so much a part of Boston. The wharfs shouldn’t be missed on any trip. Be sure to include a visit to the North End and Beacon Hill. You absolutely must stop along the way for a bowl of clam chowder. There is plenty to do in Boston.
